It's January 1st, and I got up at 6 am. I know... excellent. But how did I do it?
Well, I spent most of the week on actual Greenwich Mean Time so while I got up at 6 am, it really felt more like 2 pm. But here in California, I also went to bed about 7:30 last night.
So I think I have a better way to bring in the New Year from now on! Just like we Adventists that bring in the Sabbath as the sun goes down on Friday, we ought to bring in January 1st the same way. That is: As the sun goes down on December 31.
This way we are ready to kick start the New Year as the sun rises the next day. Yep... sounds like a good idea to me! (Unless you have friends etc that have a great time the night before, and invite you along and you feel the need to be sociable).
