Do you cut the grass before it gets overgrown? Or after?
Do you clean your car when it’s obviously dirty? Or when it gets dirtier?
Do you love your spouse, or your children when they have given up on you, or any chance you get when you’re with them?
Do you water plants only when they start wilting?
Do you curb your spending only when you can’t pay your bills?
Do you update the security software when the update comes out, or after you’ve been hacked?
Do you preach on giving when the budget is down, or when you’re in the years of plenty?
Do you encourage every student in your church to be in the church school when you see a child, or when your school is desperate for more students and with it , for more money?
Do you progress as a church every opportunity you get, or when the church has no children left, and is dying.
Do you water plants when they start wilting?
Do you curb your spending when you can’t pay your bills
Proactivity is a key to any fulfilled life. God can be so much more than your safety net.
But know too that God will take you, even when you have run out of other options.
