Don't like dandelions in your garden or on your lawn? Here's what not to do:
- Don't take a stick and beat it, hit it, and drive the many seeds contained in the plant into the ground right there. Your actions are likely to not have the affect you are looking for.
- Don't kick it. Vengeance has a way of multiplying the problem, and frankly, solving nothing.
- And please don't blow on it! It might be cute and bring you pleasure. But using your enemy for fun can not only make you lose sight of your original goal, it plays into their hands.
Instead, why not pick it, and put it in a vase on your kitchen window ledge.
“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. Matthew 5.43-45.
