I'm sitting in a restaurant watching, and listening to, one of my pet peeves:
- I've ordered an omelette, and I've some choices to make - some mouth watering choices, fries, hash browns or country potatoes, then a biscuit or toast or fruit. what flavor tea might I want right now... And it's happening all over the restaurant. In fact I can tell this happens here many, many times a day. For the all the waiters, and waitresses, have the choices down pat, and can say them very fast. And the way they say it takes all the mouth wateringness out of it!
That's the trouble when you say or do something over and aver again.
So... when my meal arrived, I did something I've done many many times. I lowered my head, and prayed a quick prayer to God, thanking Him for all this wonderful food. And while it is hard to hear yourself, I suspect my prayer sounds a lot like these servers sharing the menu.
