Of course there are lots of meetings. The seminars don't kick off until next week, so today is a chance to see what's going on. NO sales tax on anything at the ABC, and it turns out… no lines either! They'll have specific sales throughout the week, but today its nearly 10% off everything. Be warned though - the big sales event is Sunday afternoon! So don't do anything you'll regret.
Get your veggie food. They used to have much more generous offers, and waiting till peter in camp meeting could be good because they did not want to take all those cases home. It's different now… most Adventist companies have been taken over, and they have plenty of other places to sell their wares. Go early. Avoid the rush (and empty pallets of your favorite things.
Avoid the kindergarten tent. This is good advice for the whole week, as it is so easy to get Father Abraham or I just wanna be a sheep stuck in your head for the rest of the week! How do I know - my tent is in easy hearing distance.
You could of course go and hear the conference president give a report of should won, evangelism money spent - but honestly, you are going to hear a lot of that this coming week. Get some fresh air.
You could also give blood via the red cross in the small auditorium. Kudos to the campers - you come out in droves every year.
Wanna help? At the old stage end of the auditorium they'll be packing all the papers to put on chairs tomorrow. Help for free tickets to this evenings event (ok, it's always free to every meeting at camp meeting)
And don't forget - Go out early for your weekend groceries etc… parking gets crazy after 5/5:30.
