I like Cold Play. I hardly know anything about who's who in the world of Music, but for some reason (the track "Fix You" live on a you tube video) I'll listen to Cold Play.
They just opened the most recent iTunes Festival in Austin - so yes, I watched it. At about the third song in the opening set, the lead singer, Chris Martin, moved over the piano and played solo... I'm guessing it was an intro to the next song. But he got the lead in wrong, and the rest of the band was left wandering what to do. To his credit, Chris Martin cracks up and says - "I got it wrong!" then with a big smile on his face, he says in time "let's go".
Here's what I loved - the energy in the room just exploded! Everyone seemed to relax and just let the music take over.
Being perfect is so very hard, and does not bring the best out of us. But the ability to say you messed up and move on is something that will serve you well. And to do it with a smile on your face will bring a number of people along for the ride with you!
