If I was truly disciplined, and actually qualified to talk about what I'm sharing here, I'd be posting everyday, publishing my book and who knows, maybe even figure out a way to be paid for what I do . . . but, I'm not.
If you are in anyway like me, and your good intentions for the year are already slipping, then try this. It's brilliant:
Every day, starting today, throw something away. Yep, you heard right.
This works in 3 wonderful ways:
- First, it's an easy way to build regular discipline. You don't have to make anything, work on anything, or sweat at all. Just find something in your home or office and throw it away (Or in the donation/garage sale pile).
- Secondly, without even coming by your place, I know you have more stuff than you need. This will (eventually) get rid of the clutter.
- Thirdly, It's an excellent way to develop discipline in your life. And yes, that is worth repeating twice. This resolution will help you with all future resolutions.
You thought this was a spiritual blog? What with it being called simplepastor and all? Well, yes it is. So... may God bless you in your efforts to be more disciplined. Because if you are, and you grow with Him, there will be even more you can do for Him. So go throw something out already!
