There is this wonderful story in John 8 where “good people” brought this “sinner” to Jesus to test him. To see if he would stone her just like the Bible told him to.
“Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?”.
But Jesus knew what they were up to, and so bent down and started writing stuff int eh dirt. it didn’t take long before these “good people” realized that Jesus was writing the sins that they were guilty of. That was when Jesus got back up and said:
“Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”
And Yet …So often we "good Christians” in church tend to follow the original statement on this post. Mmm.
